Truthfully, I’m not a fan of Valentine’s Day. It’s not that I am against love (quite the opposite!), I just prefer to show it in quieter, more meaningful ways throughout the year.
Although you won’t find me buying cards or candy, or professing my adoration with balloons and flowers, we all could use a little extra love and compassion right now. Especially in these challenging times, when so many feel weighed down, I hope these words offer some comfort and remind you that whatever you are facing, whatever your struggles, you my friend are not alone. This is my love letter to you.
To those who don’t have someone to call their Valentine,
You are loved.
To those struggling with mental illness,
You are loved.
To those battling a disease,
You are loved.
To those facing a frightening diagnosis,
You are loved.
To those feeling lonely or isolated,
You are loved.
To those who’ve lost a loved one,
You are loved.
To those who feel like they don’t belong,
You are loved.
To those questioning their value and worth,
You are loved.
To those being mistreated or disregarded,
You are loved.
To those experiencing heartbreak and grief,
You are loved.
To those feeling uncertain and scared,
You are loved.
To those with plentiful burdens and woes,
You are loved.
To those with more questions than answers,
You are loved.
To each and every one of you on this Valentine’s Day, I want you to know,
You are valued.
You are cherished.
You are heard.
You are seen.
You are enough.
I want you to know,
You are loved.
